The Master Plan for Panamá City’s Club Unión was prepared in conjunction with the Panamanian architecture firm HEA, in the year 2000.  The main objective of the master plan was to improve and maximize the Club’s prime location and views to the Pacific Ocean, as well as address the club members’ needs.  A new arrival plaza, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, gardens, multiuse rooms and a new parking structure were proposed.  As for the interior spaces, the master plan included grouping the bar areas and discotheque, and separating them from the restaurant by the kitchen which served both.  A second grouping was the cultural area which was composed of a library, playrooms, multimedia rooms and after school study rooms.
